Don't sleep on the initiation of storms in far SW Missouri either...CAPE surging to at or above 4.5k and low-level lapse rates going above 7 in that area, with over 200 SRH and a ripe environment for the day. Think Springfield and areas around will have to watch out in the next couple of hours.

The 2-hr forecast for the mesoanalysis shows southwest Missouri going over 5000 CAPE just as the storms reach that area. So I'm betting on something here.

Yeah. Even the CoD site doesn't have it yet (it usually pops up there faster than SPC's own site for some reason).
