Nws Omaha confirmed 5 ef3 tornadoes in their cwa...no ef4's yet...but Elkhorn and Minden are high end ef3's

Home with anchor bolts (poured concrete basement with stem walls) looks to have been swept away in Minden.

I was skeptical of this one from the drone footage because the neighbor houses were much less damaged and the house kinda looked like it might have been some cheap not up to code thing on google street view. But at a glance, that does look like it was solid enough unless there's some other unknown factor like a bunch of rotted out or otherwise compromised materials.

and Wurman (2023) found that the strongest wind speeds in tornadoes are very near the ground.Thus, mobile Doppler radar high wind speeds high above the ground may actually underestimate tornado intensity.

according to the outbreak scale (OIS) (from 0 to 6) its a high end 3 , and likely going to be a 4 (note 6 are super outbreak)

Their the pros, but I find it hard to believe that Sulphur was just an EF3. The DOW would have been helpful onsite with this one.

It was right on the borderline. EF-SCALE winds were 165 to 170 mph.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the Elkhorn tornado have its final rating be EF4, purely on the fact the damage looked very intense, and that they have yet to put the full survey on DAT unlike the other tornadoes. Either way, NWS Omaha seem to really have taken a thorough approach with a lot of work and I trust their call will be the right one.

Sulphur is listed as an ef3+ still as well...so we could end with 3 ef4's when surveys are done.

I really doubt that at this point
