Certainly can't say I was expecting a supercell like that up there at this point.its been a while since we've had a discrete hook like this up here. going to be interesting to see how it evolves but this has potential to catch a lot of people off guard.
Nick Krasznavolgyi did some contrast on that image and it's clear that's a pretty nasty, compact tornado.
