These clipper systems always under perform on moisture. I would say 20% actually ever have accumulations in North Alabama. Sometimes you go from hoping for a couple inches>dusting>to just hoping you see some flakes.
I wouldn’t really call this a Clipper type system . Clippers usually are just strong cold fronts coming down from nw flow and usually squeeze out every little moisture it can. This is more of an upper level low type system. And they can actually over perform at times . We shall see

12z hrrr has some freaking heavy snow for north Alabama wtc lol. Although very little to no accumaltions is expected. Albeit that run says about a inch or so is possible in that area with a dusting into Jefferson county

That's awesome, all your efforts willed some to you! Now send a few south to the south Jefferson area please Sir! Looks like there are some returns heading this direction but I'm not sure what precip form it will be in for now here.
Flurries in Tuscaloosa right now so it's close Lol

Right now I am in the Hoover area and when I stepped out moments ago, I didn't see anything. I do see some more echo's on radar that look like they are rotating around the trough and should be coming through but those strike me as some rain returns. My hunch is that the flurries, with this surface temp, would only be on the initial fringes then move to rain for now but I hope I am wrong.

We wound up getting some brief light snow at my home in Bessemer later in the evening so that was fun to watch.

Man. Meteorologists need to start mentioning the possibility, there's not much time to warn and we are about 60 hours out. I'm going to the grocery store this morning before any word of snow is mentioned in the news. Because it'll be a madhouse when they do.
