Because no, I want to see snow. I like seeing snow even if my mind is constantly changing on the fluffy flakes.

How to make a persimmon seed prediction
Split the seed: Carefully cut the seed in half lengthwise with a sharp knife.
Observe the shape: Look for one of three symbols within the seed's white inner structure (cotyledon):
Fork: Indicates a mild winter.
Spoon: Signifies a lot of snow that will require a shovel.
Knife: Suggests a cold, harsh winter with biting winds.
Find a ripe persimmon: The fruit should be soft and wrinkled when ready.
Extract the seeds: Wash the seeds to remove any pulp.

Looks like a crazy one for the Midwest this weekend! This is GFS 24 hour snow accumulation from Friday evening into late Saturday.
Does anyone know which model is the best for snow predictions? Does the Euro or GFS perform better?

Also Ryan Hall is predicting 40-60% above average snowfall totals for everywhere north of I-80. He's been very accurate with his predictions in previous seasons so we'll see how this one pans out.

In my experience they're both pretty bad with tending to exaggerate totals more than a couple of days out, the GFS a little more so. However for this particular event they are in decent agreement on a solid hit this coming weekend.

I live in Marion Co IL, been visiting family in Ga and Al this week. Kinda excited to see I have a chance of snow when I get back home!

The RAP is even crazier which is very surprising. Looks like some places that are not accustomed to it will easily get 15-18 inches. Could be historic.
We could get some wintry mix across North MS and the Mid-South region around Tuesday of next week if things pan out.
