A good bit of freezing rain here in Cullman city now. Cars already have a glaze of ice on them.
yeah, and the temperature is dropping fast with this precipitation. It is 23 at KCMD and 26 about a mile from my home.Yep, son just looked outside and there's a layer of ice. And I can hear it raining pretty hard.![]()
Have they updated their afternoon package ?Surprised to see BMX not pull the WSW south to line up with what’s over in MS. They must be reluctant to believe the latest model runs.

Where please?26 and freezing rain now. Just had a pretty decent downpour that immediately froze. Ice hanging off of roof and vehicles.
This. Reached 54 yesterday and almost 60 today. I am not sure how much frozen precip we will get in East Alabama. A long way to go with air temps and even more so with temps on pavement. I could see bridge icing, etc. in the extreme Eastern counties, but I am not sure if there will be more than that.It is interesting to note that temperatures south of the Arctic front have warmed up a bit more than forecast today. For example, Anniston is at 57° right now, and the NWS forecast was 50°. It will be interesting to see how quickly temperatures cool later today and this evening.
