• Looks like our DeLorean hit 88 miles per hour a little too hard! A recent style update went sideways, sending us back to a retro look for a bit. We've parked that faulty future theme for now while we tinker under the hood.

Winter WX Winter 2020/2021

Do you think this winter is going to continue the crazyness of 2020 or do we finally break free?

A friend of mine found a wooly worm and it had a very small rust ring on it. Barely visible. Looking at the forecast models for this winter, do you think it will be a 2020 winter, or do we come out of it on the mild side?

I voted milder too, but it only takes one storm for it to be one to remember.

MMMMMM! GFS Fantasy snow "storm" for Atlanta!

Wooooohoooooo :p Waiting for it to fade away.

Interesting note. The AO index for November 2020 will be the second highest on record (dating back to 1950). The two highest previously were November 1978, and November 2013.

Ongoing snow showers just south of Huntsville in Morgan Co. So far just a nice dusting on grass, roofs and cars.

Well, GFS are Euro are both somewhat consistently showing snow for Atlanta on Christmas Eve and Christmas.

And now the models are consistently backing off limiting the snow to the mountains as usual. Still a small chance to see some flakes.

Question to the experts. I live here in Columbia SC. Does anybody here see in the near future winter weather for January 2021.

Did this forum move to a new URL? It used to be hopping and now dead silence.

Without straying too far off topic (hey, there's a forum for that!), you can stop the silence by posting yourself. If everyone only posted 5 times in a 3 year span, the silence would be overwhelming.

So...what’s everyone’s take on Monday? Jackson NWS has sounded the “winter weather” alarms for those of us in North Mississippi.
