Weather Banter

And this is a graph of the temps of 2025 so far for me

I used TWC archives for the January 1st to April 2nd time period
I used my own observations from April 3rd up to yesterday (May 20th)

Given the source, this is not AI:

Here in Chicago...this has got to be the most disappointing May in my lifetime. Feels more like March.

Cold, windy, cloudy no real severe weather or big soakers. Just cloudy, cold and boring. May is usually my favorite month here. We're on pace to be 7 degrees colder than average for the month, that's significant.

Those who have never lived in the Upper Midwest or New England don't understand the cruel frustration Mother Nature provides when she prolongs her cold winter's breath into late Spring. It's almost as if life itself is on pause until warm weather finally comes.

Rant over!

I got sister in Chicago but yeah if May was cool here I can’t imagine up there! @lake.effect

My average May temperature after taking observations the entire month (May 1-31) was 75 F.

The majority of May was mostly clear skies with some puffy clouds throughout each day.

We had 9 thunderstorms in May for a total year to date of 11 thunderstorms. I decided to include one harmless nearby lightning display though the rest of the sky was clear and it was at night as a thunderstorm.

Wow @Atlantic. Lucky dawg haha. Was mostly rainy and cloudy here. April was sunnier and warmer.

And now the rain is gone and so we COULD have sun but the smoke haze but also could use rain for the smoke haze! Smh

Yep, clouds going up. That’s for sure. Could get a thunderstorm later, who knows…
