Man; while not the most current weather, I gotta vent how weather just inspires the creative side of myself.
Tornadoes just bring our religious ideas, disaster in general does; but something about the heavens reaching down out of the sky feels so targeted, specific, more personal. There is nothing more in this world than gets me thinking more than that.
It all feels so personal; but in the end, these are forces without a mind: they have not a concept of evil, not one of good, nor malice, nor benevolence, no preference outside the facts of physics, no specific hatred. A tornado, or weather in general; is a true neutral force, a mindless but specific one.
There is one verse that was used in the movie "Nope" that got me thinking about weather; this idea of spectacle, being a "Chosen one". But to be faced with the harsh truth that you aren't special in facing wrath, in survival, all you are is unlucky, or lucky to live.
These divine entities, bastions of unrivaled power; a god-like figure of destruction; they just vaporize into nothing despite their enormous sense of being permanent. If that does not provide a sense of humility, Im not sure what does.
I thought about this looking up at the sculpted mesocyclone I saw on 3/25/25
