Weather Banter

Big surprise. It's drizzling this morning. Nothing says spring here more than drizzle, despite the fact that the drizzly days can be colder than many sunny days during our winter season. Where else in the Northern Hemisphere do the high temperatures in May average 5 degrees cooler than October?

Graypril drizzle delays the May jacaranda bloom.

Last year we had a sopping wet Easter weekend with 1.63" in Fullerton. This year it's also lousy, but more like Memorial Day weekend, which many years ends up being colder than Thanksgiving here. We've even had years where the Winter Solstice was warmer than the Summer Solstice.

We have more sun today but there's still a cool breeze and I also came down with a stupid cold overnight.

My brother, who lives in Sweden came here hoping for some warm weather, but it could actually be warmer there than here for Wednesday and Thursday.
