After a lot of high clouds this morning, it cleared out and temperatures has jumped into the low 80s with the winds picking up at variable wind directions

High was 85F today, 7 degrees hotter than expected. Currently its 57F with a thick shield of altostratus moving in.

Santa Ana was 93 F, which was 9 degrees hotter than Palm Springs and possibly the warmest location in the country.

The last day of February is starting out quite warm again, but a prolonged cool and showery period should start tonight.

Typically La Nina years have warm and dry winters and cool and cloudy, but not very rainy springs.

Temperatures are quickly dropping now. We have gone from 75 to 67 in the last 90 minutes.
