Tornado Anniversaries

6/24:

1967: The French IF5 in Palluel

2003: The Manchester, SD F4. Quoth Weed Trimmer: "Back the fuck up! Back the fuck up!"

2021: The Czech Republic IF4. Possibly IF5, and apparently at one point it was 2 miles wide while still looking like a little cone/stovepipe deal.

1924: The Lorain-Sandusky, OH F4 kills 85. It is, to this day, the deadliest tornado in Ohio state history.

Also notable: Viroqua 1865, one of the first multiple-vortex tornadoes ever documented.

June 29th has a few notable tornadoes in the US, including the Regent, ND F4 of 1975:

However by far the most notable tornado event to happen on this date is the Woldegk, Germany F5 of 1764. It's frequently considered one of the strongest of all time, although I personally dispute that for multiple reasons. Still, an F5 rating can be justified given some of the things it did do.

F4s have also occurred on this date from Colorado and Montana (although the Montana one is fake AF) all the way to Illinois. Here's the map:

Behold, the most Ultra Beyblade let 'er rip Hurricane Katrina deluxe spin cycle-iest tornado of all time, Ashby! Happy 5th anniversary!

OTD in 1989: Trouble in the Northeast! 2 F4 tornadoes touch down in New York and Connecticut, with the CT one in particular rolling straight through New Haven. They are (officially) the most recent violent tornadoes in their respective states.
