There were no tornado warnings for me, thankfully, though there was another almost directly east of the warning I posted earlier. I'll be intrigued to see if the radar indicated rotation will result in some damage. I'm sure MKX will be surveying tomorrow.

I'll also be intrigued to see surveying results from Iowa, since Twitter has a fair number of folks reporting seeing some damage, and I saw a picture of at least one house that was partially deroofed.

Looks like a possible good severe weather day for me, tornadoes or not. I'm in the purple area. Got a potential for strong wind and hail too.

Interesting lowering on Lake Michigan...perhaps a brief waterspout funnel? KLOT radar showing some rotation in that area:

Would keep my eye on a potential sneaky tornado threat in Ohio today. Setup looks like nothing crazy, but discrete storm mode looks likely at the very least. Lots of UH streaks, and thermos and dynamics could be just enough for a few tornadoes.

Well not only that, there’s a 10% now as well. Most recent discussion from offices in that area seem to be upping their wording a bit too, with all mentioning rotating storms with an all hazards threat, including tornadoes.

Am I going crazy? I could have sworn there was a radar in Toledo. If not that’s a pretty egregious radar hole considering the population and frequency of severe weather in that area.

Pretty intense semi-discrete cell with some weak rotation over Wapakoneta (i.e. the same area that got hit last month). Not quite to the 5% area yet.

Probably premature and borderline irresponsible for that guy to post that and say it was a “strong” tornado. All signs “so far” point to high winds.

Tornado warnings were issued about 4:30 p.m. for Richland, Crawford and Morrow counties.
