Well, I can't find any news on that Japan Coast Guard alert. If debris did fall, maybe Wikipedia will list it eventually.

Reportedly (Japanese) the Japanese Coast Guard spotted for some debris from a Chinese rocket launch -- folks in the Kagoshima City area could see it flying and were curious, and that linked news story was the result. This probably explains the news posted earlier here on the 3rd.

Browser translation from the coverage on September 9:

thats just soooo cool with how we can use a goes spacecraft to see the moon and the sun in order to get a photo of a partial eclipse or a view of the sun and moon credit goes to kds86z for finding it

there was a meteor last night 2 am cdt and 3 am edt at least in the south east usa not sure if anywhere else but lots of posts of it on social media and on facebook etc just thought that was interesting to share

And I just recently looked up and saw, dimly because of street lights, the Milky Way. We are one of those dancing galaxies!

Oh cool bjdeming that is so neat sorry you could only see it dimly because of the street lights also it is amazing how we are one of those dancing galaxies too as well
