Kind of dichotomous… here in Bessemer we are getting some junk convection feeding in from the SW. Looks like a strip lining up of that presently N Central AL. Not sure if that lingers around or if it can tamp down things here for later…but I’m glad the sun isn’t out.

Picking my son up at college near Newton, MS. Severe thunderstorm warning the entire way since we’re entering Winston County right now. Fun, fun! Heck of a polygon with this warning - includes portions of 9 counties!

WRFs tend to be more conservative most of the time as well.

Definitely. I've always leaned on the WRF. Not sure it's complete track record for the first couple of months this year. But given the HRRRs crap job it can't be any worse.

I think right there in southeast Tennessee northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama is where most models are noting a sweet spot potentially.
