Areas affected...Northeastern Alabama and northwest Georgia.
Concerning...Tornado Watch 61...
Valid 031807Z - 031930Z
The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 61 continues.
SUMMARY...The threat for tornadoes and severe, potentially
significant, wind gusts will continue over the next 1-1.5 hours in
northeast Alabama and northwest Georgia.
DISCUSSION...A line of thunderstorms continues to the east. Recent
wind gusts in the Huntsville vicinity were measured at 60 and 67
kts. With temperatures warming into the low/mid 70s F, potential for
these severe to potentially significant wind gusts will continue.
The KHTX VAD profiles shows around 70 kts in the lowest 1 km.
Farther south, KBMX shows closer to 60 kts. In addition to the
damaging wind threat, tornadoes remain possible given the degree of
low-level shear, also evident in the VAD profiles.

Outside of the Easter 2020 outbreak, and the surprise rogue cells in January, Dixie has been avoiding that “big time” event each time it seems like.the outbreak that never was. parameters are off the charts favorable for massive tornadoes but that warm nose tho.

Can’t wait for the “I always told you so’s” later we all know that are coming. But this thing still had severe weather, it just didn’t perform to what it was forecasted for, as Trey says.Yep. March 1-3, bust for the books. On to the next event then.
I didn’t say it was lol far from it. I just stated the last few forecasted events for Dixie underpeformed vs what was forecasted or parameter space available wise. Still had severe weather and tornados 100%. So it’s not the B wordGuys y'all are gunna get warnings over the bust talk, wait till the events over.
Oh I know, just said "bust" compared to what was expected and even the previous event (multiple EF2s and an EF2 that SHOULD have been EF3, whereas I don't think this had a single sigtor)I didn’t say it was lol far from it. I just stated the last few forecasted events for Dixie underpeformed vs what was forecasted or parameter space available wise. Still had severe weather and tornados 100%. So it’s not the B word
Absolutely incredible going from major wind gusts and flooding rains to sunny blue skies within several minutes! The power is out and I have a dozen branches down in the yard but thankfully I got to stand in the road as the grey clouds blew away while the torrential runoff flowed into the gutters around me. Beautiful...Good news is it gets beautiful as soon as the line comes through. High top nexrad in the path of that possible tornado
