Severe WX Severe Weather Threats 1/21-1/22 2017 (Saturday - Sunday)

Really an impressive setup, the old precipitation has been clearing out fast the past few hours and the model soundings show extremely potent wind parameters as the convection ramps up in the high risk area.

Additional area of rotation south of the warned area as well.

Yep...

Fairly odd to see Tuscaloosa at 55 while KBHM is at 66, KHSV is at 63, and even Ft. Payne and Gadsden are nearly 10 degrees warmer.

How far south? I'm on the road south of Montgomery headed home. Trying my best to keep updated. Cell service is spotty

3-4 miles SE of White Hall.

STP up to 6 near Panama City, 7 just offshore. And unlike last night, there are developing storms in that vicinity. Gonna be interesting to watch the webcams...

I'd pull over somewhere safe for the next hour or so if I were you. Stay safe!

Rotation has broadened. TOR replaced with an SVR.

That recently tornado warned storm in Autauga is in an interesting position... going by surface data it seems to be near the center of the larger surface low. That is going to be very interesting as it scoots NE.

Here we go, storms just off the coast rapidly intensifying in the heart of the most intense parameters.

Yeah that line of storms is moving into a really incredible environment near TLH. 1500+ CAPE and 600+ SRH. Wow.

And here we go. Tornado warning for Panama City for a cell moving onshore.

TOR for Panama City and SE. Intense storm moving inland.

Better start watching coastal webcams, folks, this is an extremely rare day!
