This most recent tornado passed over Sulphur, LA, a populous residential municipality on the west side of Lake Charles. Hopefully it was weak, as it tracked directly over multiple tightly-packed neighborhoods.
Story old as day. Moving on shore transient supercells that drop surprise tornadoes in the Mobile area and SE MS. Dec 27th last year was a good example of that.
Potential for brief tornadoes as these cells land on shore
Currently monitoring a camera as this tornado passes by it!
Briefly condensed cone with brief vortices at the Pasacagoula River Bridge! Best camera catch I've ever had, couldn't get a screenshot in time though :/
Was a pretty intense moment for me! I was actually in slight shock even seeing it, first time I've managed to get one myself looking thru traffic cams.
