This storm that just went through Huntsville went right over Mid City, where Orion Amphitheatre is located. Good thing the Greta Van Fleet show was canceled tonight.

This is correct. A lof the debris is likely trees(not saying houses haven't been hit). People who aren't local do not realize that this storm went through a decent size mountain. If this was like that at Mid City then there would be huge problems.
Looked like five points into Monte Sano was potentially in the path, if it was on the ground. Definitely out of anywhere in the area, the land trust in NE huntsville is the most desolate area and the best target for a tornado if there's to ever be one. So far the hospital hasn't called us into the ER so that's good I hope...

Yep. By no means am I taking anything away from anyone impacted -- simply that had this thing dropped 10-15 minutes before it did it would have been in a very densely populated area. Almost certainly people would've been in vehicles on the roads as well.

I'm sure many here remember the '89 tornado that killed over 20 people and injured hundreds more in Huntsville. Huntsville is now even more densely populated than the areas impacted back then.

Damage reported in Five Points in Huntsville per NWS.

Dang it! Hopefully it isn't too bad. That's the kind of more densely populated area I was hoping it would've just missed before heading into the land trust and other less populated places.
