The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
Northeastern Marshall County in Middle Tennessee...
Southwestern Rutherford County in Middle Tennessee...
East central Maury County in Middle Tennessee...
Southeastern Williamson County in Middle Tennessee...
Northwestern Bedford County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 610 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located 8 miles southeast of
Spring Hill, or 15 miles east of Columbia, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern Marshall, southwestern Rutherford, east central Maury,
southeastern Williamson and northwestern Bedford Counties,
including the following locations... Rover, Eagleville, Unionville,
Chapel Hill, and Rockvale.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 65 between mile markers 49 and 54.
Interstate 840 between mile markers 43 and 50.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

Looks like it went outflow dominant when that merger happened on the rear flank, probably dropped too much precip into the RFD and disrupted the balance between outflow and inflow thermodynamics.
