Why is the HRRR so mad at Huntsville? I swear I've seen it launch a supercell at it for like, 6 runs now.

Wow, that's well-defined. This week's been wild in the Wx community, I really hope today doesn't end up being bad. I usually welcome bad weather with open arms, but this spell is both devastating, ugly and most importantly, relentless.

I feel like one of those storms about to pass near/northwest of Springfield, IL might do something.

Edit: Just as I was hitting the button to make the post I realized a tornado watch just went out for that area.

Annoyingly, the work meeting which was the main reason I'm not chasing today got cancelled, but my boss didn't tell me so I went in anyway after getting home at about 1:45 AM last night.

I agree with Brad. I also think there's a non zero shot at a low end violent tornado in the northern half of Alabama if you play your cards right. But that's just my hot take lol.

I agree aswell, semi-discrete lines can produce a heck of a tornado outbreak. A great example is Greenfield from last year.
