Severe WX Severe Weather Threat: May 2-5, 2021

Not sure if we see much further tornadic action today (aside from QLCS spinups) - seems like storms are trending towards a much messier storm type and the main wind + hail action will come from the line marching across the Mississippi River now. There doesn't seem to be an apparent pre-line spot for supercell formation in great numbers, as most are just cannibalizing one another and then getting absorbed into the larger line. Maybe something from the parallelogram of Meridian-Montgomery-Mobile-Mandeville?

Really drives home the value of being weather aware even if you're not a "geek"/passionate about it like many of us posters here. It's one thing when you get a 4/27-type tornado that can annihilate even the sturdiest of shelters, but this was totally preventable with a little awareness/preparation.

...NOAA ALL-HAZARDS RADIO TRANSMITTER IN JACKSON OFFLINE...

NOAA All-Hazards Radio station KIH-38, transmitting out of
Jackson on a frequency of 162.400 MHz, is off the air due to a
power outage. We have contacted technicians to fix the problem,
and will return to service as soon as possible.

During the outage, persons across the listening area will need to
tune to commercial radio or television outlets for the latest
weather information.
