Severe WX Severe Weather Threat June 6-14

Biggest worry about this is we’re not in the plains. There’s a lot of small towns and cities. These 2 supercells around Ransom and Odell look to be the most worrisome right now.

Back when I lived in this part of Illinois, we called it the Great Plains, which to some sense extends to Ohio.

Town of Dwight is in the path of that circulation, which is crazy considering that we just had a damaging tornado in the Streator area. The reason I’d say this is because both towns were hit hard during that early June 2010 outbreak, the one that produced the Millbury EF4.

Dude that is is crazy. Not a good situation at all. This is all getting really tough to keep track of. Biggest outbreak of the year ongoing.

This is honestly a fascinating reflectivity. You’ve got two MCS’s and between them are the two supercells that have a history of producing tornadoes.

This Odell cell screams huge trouble. Well ventilated, and is already producing a cone but future tornadoes may be more major.

That Odell storm is developing a well defined hook. This has the “look” of previous sig-violent tornadoes.

Edit: just as I posted, buckeye confirmed that.

No CC drop associated with the Dwight tornado. Doesn’t seem to be hitting much.

If they can mature enough. That won’t matter, we’ve seen storms last much longer even outside of the best kinematics. Neither QLCS is going to overtake them.

Twin tornadoes, just wow. This set up by far had the highest chance out of every one of them so far, but still strange to see a moderate risk actually verify this year.
