Derecho is a bit easier to pronounce when its Spanish origin is kept in mind, always thought one that veers to the left or drops to the west should be caused an izquierda

Yikes. Watch out central Alabama. 
Pretty good size population in the 2 major risk outlooks. DFW is also close/somewhat in the moderate.

Both good sources for power outage maps only show scattered power outages across Marion for now, so we'll see.

Leading edge is windy but at home probably just in the 40mph range, this section of the line seems to have been tempered a little, power went out a couple times though. Pretty persistent gusts

Interestingly, the portion of the line headed towards the Huntsville Metro is not as strong as to its immediate north and south.

The rain in west Huntsville was the worst part of the storm.

We have several trees down throughout Monroe County and on my road. Just got power back on. My dad and I drove around and got two big limbs out of the roads.

Potent winds in Madison County near the Hampton Cove, Gurley, and New Hope areas. It is also nasty just to the north of the AL/TN state line in Lincoln County.
