Severe Weather Threat June 5-9

Apparently the tornado has ingested so much dust that the storm is somewhat "red" in coloration according to one of the chasers. That's pretty damn ominous.

That reminds me of the Bowdle tornado back in 2010 which was almost more dust than funnel. I know the Smithville tornado was "stained" red with clay that it was scouring up at one point as well (image here).

Thankfully doesn't look like there's much out there for it to hit at the moment but I don't love the path that that cell is on long-term...

Welp…

That has the look of a very strong tornado. You don’t see debris clouds like that unless it’s EF2+, and even that’s a bit conservative imo. It’s probably not hitting much structures though, fortunately.

Absolutely gigantic hook on reflectivity. Velocities are getting going too, it's about to drop a big one.
