Severe Weather Threat - June 11th-15th, 2023

We got a whole bunch of cells training from the Arkansas/Louisiana line to the Georgia coastline. I wouldn't be surprised to see reports of flooding from today.

Over 9K lightning strikes with these storms with 7K of those occurring from Alabama into Georgia.

From what I can find, the only non-tropical related EF/F3 tornado to occur in June in the entire Deep South was in 1950 when a F3 hit Northwest of Kosciusko, MS. Other EF/F3 tornadoes occurred during Hurricane Audrey (1957) and Hurricane Agnes (1972).
