Sad to say this might be the most significant U.S. tornado since Mayfield. I don't think it will quite reach that level of violence and devastation, but by and large we got pretty lucky in 2022 with a relative lack of high-end tornado impacts directly to towns and cities. Today wasn't really the day I was expecting our luck to run out, but that's nature for you.
Edit: I momentarily forgot about Winterset in March, but that clipped the southern edge of town.
