Severe WX Severe Weather Threat April 5th-6th, 2019

The active pattern continues into the weekend.
Looks like we are in line for some hail and heavy rain in south central Texas.

From San Antonio/AUSTIN office:

Friday the level shortwave trough will swing into West Texas. This will likely provide sufficient lift to develop thunderstorms along the dryline. Model soundings are showing CAPE and shear profiles that could support strong to severe thunderstorms over the northwestern part of our CWA. SPC has included this area, west of a line from Mountain Home to Eagle Pass, in a slight risk area. The most likely threats will be large hail and damaging wind gusts.

Cells starting to show some rotation here in the Austin area. Tornado watch in effect but they still expect hail to be the major threat.

Heavy wind and rain here. Storms are starting to rotate as they move north and east of our area where the enhanced risk area begins.

Two warnings out currently.

There was a cone tornado reported with that one near Cameron, TX earlier.

Potent MCS rolling across central Mississippi and approaching the Alabama state line:

That line moving through Mississippi above appears to have a nasty bowing segment all up & down the leading edge. Especially the section that went through the Louisville area & north of it.
