Severe WX Severe Weather Threat 4/5/17-4/6/17

Looking at the HTX loop, things are definitely firing along the dryline from TN into far N AL. Whether these are ready to persist yet remains to be seen though. Is the dry air going to be an issue as the line reaches more favorable conditions in E AL?

Spann has thrown in the towel for areas west of US-43. The dryline continues to march east and with very little activity along it, I am sticking by with what I said over 3 hours ago... this event is over for Birmingham.
Yep. Nothing happening from Bham west or north

Cells reaching 40-60dbz at Vinemont, Ardmore, and at Chapel Hill, TN. All perfectly aligned along what I can only assume is the dryline. These look much healthier than the earlier echoes. Still very warm and windy with scattered clouds here but the line has passed over.

Standing outside watching a cell blow up just east of Jasper. Updraft speed was visible to the naked eye. Very impressive.

Starting to see rotation in the Storm Near Talladega

And NOW the event really begins in central/east AL... stuff is really getting going. Another cell east of Clanton is now producing lightning. The storm that I was watching continues to grow as it nears Blount/Jefferson county line. Talladega storm looking more and more ominous.
