Yeah, flooding might be the next biggest threat.....Absolutely pissing rain in Hayden for the last hour. Still going. Intense lightning too.

Effective sig tor is (3-4). Those are going to be the ones to watch this morning....Storms in far SW AL near Jackson and Mcintosh are definitely rotating. Lot of clear warm sector ahead of them.
No, definitely not. The 12z and 0z NMMs yesterday were absolutely apocalyptic.NMM has had the best handle on this so far. And it isn't good for later today....
Also the Par 3 Contest.Today is also the practice rounds for the Masters in Augusta. Even if no tornadoes touch down near Augusta today, the threat of lightning and large hail will make it unsafe to be on the golf course today.
They haven't cancelled it? are they mad?Today is also the practice rounds for the Masters in Augusta. Even if no tornadoes touch down near Augusta today, the threat of lightning and large hail will make it unsafe to be on the golf course today.
With storms essentially training over the Interstate 59 corridor right now in Alabama, I wonder if the atmosphere will recover in that area for the afternoon that could mitigate the risk? Or if a boundary could form which could enhance the risk?
I know morning convection was always in the forecast, and the overall look seems about on track... but my backyard has gotten 2 inches which is more than was expected so I wonder what impact that will have on for later today.
