Severe Weather Threat 4/27-4/28, 2024 - (Saturday, Sunday)

Qe6jGN.gif

Been a while since I last posted on here.
I usually lurk but today is.. different.

The fact that DFW is in the 10% TOR risk and the hatched has me on edge... especially when Saturday's the day that me and family go to church (mid-evening)

Tornado warning on that discrete cell west of Enid too
What'd they base the warning direction on? It was moving north-northeast from what I can tell.

Yeah idk it’s not moving in the direction of the polygon lol. Rotation definitely intensified on the last scan.

I presume there's a boundary it's interacting with and they assume the storm will hook onto it and any tor will head up in the direction of Enid. Seems the storm might be trying to split which is a good sign that it is happening as such, with the right split latching on.

I checked on local news here for DFW. According to them, storms will come into two waves and overnight storms are more of a concern for them - if heating up in the north breaks through the cap
