Severe WX Severe Weather Threat 4/26-5/1/17

Unfortunately, we've had a weather related fatiality in Alabama. People must take ALL modes of severe weather seriously. Making damaging wind/hail seem less serious because there is less of a tornado threat gets people killed....

Heed all warnings like you would a tornado warning.

New MD says 95% chance of tornado watch issuance for central PA, western NY, western MD. (Doesn't include me, of course; I doubt we'll see more than some wind here)

I'm right at the edge of that tornado watch with 50/30 probs. Environment Canada has me under a severe thunderstorm watch and there has been some minor wind damage in the neighbourhood. I took the day off today since I wasn't feeling well, and man has the wind been screaming along at a couple of points today.

Shades of the Kinzua Viaduct tornado of 2003... a warned couplet within the line is about to pass close to Kane and Mount Jewett, PA.

Wow, interesting. That's our second EF4 of the year. And it wasn't even the longer tracked and seemingly more covered of the two Canton area tornadoes.

I'm not sure how many people were able to see the EF-4 since it was so rain-wrapped (partially because of the next cell, which wound up dropping the EF-2 and EF-3). I know I certainly wasn't.
