Severe weather threat 4/23/26 (Central/Southern Plains)

Remember to not trust basically any reports that come out at this hour the day of an event, especially in the age of AI slop.

Well that was one heck of a chase today...

Managed to luck my way into seeing both the Braman (close range) and Enid (further away) tornadoes. Probably one of my best chases ever considering I was a) solo, b) nearly gave up prior to initiation, c) was my first time seeing tornadoes on different storms on the same day, and d) both longer lived tornadoes were strong/violent.

Enid is a pretty clear-cut EF5-intensity tornado in my opinion just based off what we have so far. Can’t post images (go figure) but it’s complete devastation south of town. Homes are completely wiped and rowed significant distances in a Hackleburg-esque fashion, with the caveat that it was moving much slower than Hackleburg.

Incredible.

I was NOT expecting to see this degree of damage when I woke up this morning.

I'll compile a list of potentially violent (EF4+ Indicators) below:

- Multiple poured concrete homes partially swept away (Construction quality unknown).

- Trees partially/completely debarked and denuded.

- Wind rowing of debris (2nd picture; Center left).

- Possible ground scouring?

Thoughts and prayers for the people of Enid. Truly horrific what unfolded yesterday evening.

Not just partially - a two-story modernist-style home was completely swept with ZERO debris left on the foundation itself. Not sure if it was bolted but we'll see.
