Damage assessment toolkitWas wondering the same thing. Haven’t heard anything really about that tornado.

The path was last edited 2 minutes ago, I don't think it's finalized?Damage assessment toolkit
Him and Buckeye always went back and forth. He seemed to make fake information sound true so it was what he wanted to hear.I agree. That Caleb Routt guy that used to post on here claimed that an EF5 rating has to be approved higher up and can’t be done at the WFO, which he said he discovered when investigating the mayfield storm. I don’t really buy that since he seemed to have some kind of agenda on that tornado.
Just from reading a bit of it: Wow.... what a strange thing to get hung up on. I get it, Mayfield did pretty obviously reach EF5 intensity at some point, but there are other tornadoes that are far more egregious examples of being omitted from the rating: Vilonia, Rochelle, Chickasha, New Wren... Plus, why dog on Wikipedia about it..? That's not necessarily the greatest place for knowledge.Lasted for almost a year. I think I read through the whole thing out of boredom before.Talk:List of F5, EF5, and IF5 tornadoes/Discussion - Wikipedia

What's especially funny is that he argued against the EF5 or "potential EF5 intensity/damage" of other tornadoes in the same Wikipedia page.Just from reading a bit of it: Wow.... what a strange thing to get hung up on. Over 10 miles imo.A little bit off topic but what do you consider a long track tornado?
Anything over 15 miles long is long track in my opinion. Seems subjective, but maybe the NWS has some clandestine rule?A little bit off topic but what do you consider a long track tornado?
Agree with this notion.I can't say I'd disagree with an EF5 rating for the Diaz tornado after some of these new images have come in. That damage to a well built house is extraordinary + the added vehicle context/etc.
Agreed. It’s mostly all there: the well built anchored home swept away, pretty good contextual evidence including the foundation being dislodged if that’s indeed what actually happened. I just don’t know what else a tornado would need to do to get the rating.Agree with this notion.
I was initially skeptical of everyone claiming it was an ef5 and was wondering if the conservative damage ratings over the years had finally rubbed off on me lol.
But seeing the newest damage photos I’m pretty convinced now, the only thing that’s missing are the completely debarked trees, but perhaps I’m being nitpicky.
Aircraft obliterated. Very unusual type of damage but good lord.
What?
Another potential EF4 candidate nobodies heard about is on the DAT with the infamous EF3+ rating. What?
