Severe WX Severe Weather Threat 3/14-3/16

Going through these loops just reminded me again how properly cyclic all of the supercells were. Especially the Bakersfield supercell, at least 3-4 tornadoes along the track length, including some with relatively high end radar signatures. And we have heard nothing out of these areas, bar Bakersfield. Think we could continue to see intense damage come in for the next week.

Definitely more than 3-4 tornadoes with that Bakersfield storm, I'm guessing closer to 10. Also, the Gordo tornado looks like it was spawned by the same updraft that produced the Tylertown tornado hours earlier.

Also want to give a huge shout-out to @Fred Gossage. He's probably exhausted and currently resting (hopefully). I managed to get the website he shared with us findyourtornadoshelter.com out to about 100,000 people on Reddit, and probably about 1000 middle-tennesseeians turned onto Tennessee Valley Weather, where he was providing non-stop coverage. He undoubtedly saved a few lives this weekend.

Crazy damage from yet another one of the 4 billion Arkansas tornadoes from friday.

I'm impressed that it already has a high end EF4 rating. Weather offices don't usually pull the trigger on an official violent rating that quickly. I guess I still have a tiny bit of hope that they'll start giving out ratings more objectively again.

Honestly many of our violent tornadoes in recent years have happened in more marginal and mesoscale driven days (Chapman, Ashby, etc) while highs have produced more quantity than quality, 3/25/21 was the first high in many years to actually produce a violent tornado IIRC, I think since 4/28/14

Funnily enough, the tornado didn’t even occur in the high risk either.
