Severe WX Severe Weather Threat 3/14-3/16

I do want to touch on this aspect of the “super outbreak” or even the ever elusive “EF5” tornado. I think when you’re passionate about severe weather, like we all are, you see those high end events as almost like a Super Bowl or the Olympics. You want to see that history in real time, whether it be tracking or chasing a super out break, tracking an EF5 in real time etc

It’s not that you hope for those events. It’s like the constant tension between loving severe weather but also knowing what it entails. You still get this almost fascination to see something historical like that in real time. Almost like geeking out at how these insane parameters came together to produce something historic, and you just tip your cap to Mother Nature.

Trey kind of alludes to it in his 4/27/11 case study. You know what happened that day, but as someone who is into this stuff, you’re almost in awe and fascinated with the setup and event.
