There was no mention from JAN of a TOR-E coming, just because a chaser said it doesn't mean it's true.
It was a direct hit. With a massive debris ball.

Looks to be a large wedge tornado captured by Bryce Shelton in Taylorsville Mississippi. CC only continues to deepen, appears the town took a direct hit.
