Doing that this afternoon, thanks! You have time to go buy one. I bought a small battery-powered radio last year at Wal-Mart.

placefilesA tad unrelated but does anyone know how to get spotter/chaser locations on GR2Analyst?
Yeah…you can’t even see across the street from my house because of trees. I know that’s not rare around here either - trees block the view of everything in the distance. Hopefully they’re all safe.I am concerned about the number of chasers I am seeing post that they might take this outbreak on ... you couldn't pay me to be on this one.
Yeah, Dixie Alley is not the place for chasers to be with how bad these storms could be tommorow. I hope there's no chasers that get hurt.I am concerned about the number of chasers I am seeing post that they might take this outbreak on ... you couldn't pay me to be on this one.
Limited visibility with 65 mph storm motions...yeah no thanks. Hopefully common sense wins out but they need to be aware how dangerous this isI am concerned about the number of chasers I am seeing post that they might take this outbreak on ... you couldn't pay me to be on this one.
Mostly rain wrapped HP supercells?Limited visibility with 65 mph storm motions...yeah no thanks. Hopefully common sense wins out but they need to be aware how dangerous this is
Timmer can do it! Lol. SmhLimited visibility with 65 mph storm motions...yeah no thanks. Hopefully common sense wins out but they need to be aware how dangerous this is
rain-wrapped highway-speed, low LCL wedges that are gonna be obscured by hills and trees? chasers' paradise.Limited visibility with 65 mph storm motions...yeah no thanks. Hopefully common sense wins out but they need to be aware how dangerous this is
Think they go high?Exact placement varies from run to run, but the HRRR is alarmingly consistent with at least two, some runs up to four gnarly tornadic supercells tracking through the mid-lower MS Valley (southern MO/IL, northern to central AR, northwest MS, west TN/KY).

Live update from the SPC starting momentarily
So glad they have more shelters now. Unfortunately it’s hard to get 0 fatalities with violent tornadoes in this area..I think the most alarming aspect of the Saturday forecast is that the hatched tornado risk area encompasses 25,000,000 people. It's impossible to understate just how many peoples' lives this system has the potential to change forever. The high risk area may seem small, but it's covering over 2.7 million people. For reference, that's more than the entire population of Chicago.
Alabama and Mississippi have been hit hard in the past, and they learned from it by building community storm shelters all over the place.
Please share this link as much as possible to people in the affected areas. No matter how bad this outbreak ends up being, it is survivable, and lots of people may not know about the resources they have available to keep them safe. I can't imagine how many people in high density and underdeveloped communities are feeling intense fear and dread right now. It's important we use the power of social media to spread helpful information in any way we can.
