That 30 hatched for tornadoes on the D3 I believe is the first time I have ever seen that from CSU.

I’ve never paid much attention to the CSU. Is it reliable?

Severe weather season can start in "baptism by fire" fashion in central Illinois, when you get a major early-season event right out of winter. This year appears no different. I don't think we've had any form of severe risk around here since early fall. You have to hope this doesn't catch too many people off guard.

I remember April 26/27 2024 Day 1 and 2 being huge, but day 1 was only 90,000 sq miles, and day 2 was 122,000



That system produced 165 tornadoes over a 4 day span.
