Severe WX Severe Weather Threat 3/14-3/16

100% hear you guys, and really admire the lockstep in defense of experts who have the extremely delicate and stressful job of creating public messaging at the highest level. Sorry for any perceived disrespect. I'm sure what they can't do with classification, they'll more than make up for with strong language. Now isn't the time to change the established systems we all rely on. It's a conversation for another time.
All good dude! For now we just need to keep the people who look at this thread updated :).

There is higher end potential across WC/NC Georgia for this event. IF the setup holds, I’m confident we’ll see tornadic supercells maintain themselves, in at worst a broken line, well into the late evening hours. Very concerned about this.
I was wondering about GA bc everyone keeps mentioning MS/AL/TN lol

Would not be surprised to see more talk about EC AL/WC GA as we get closer.

Time to start getting my plan together… sigh

I'm a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, since the late 90s actually. I listen to the games on a YT channel, which is also airing the SEC BB Tourney. I went on the page where the channel 1st announced Tourney coverage & said something about the storms. We play the Panthers tomorrow night so I know I'll get to warn everyone then. EDIT Has AL had an EF4 since Lee Co Mar '19?
Nope… Georgia has had 2 since then, but not AL.

What kind of fireworks show should Iowa expect as the low pressure system passes directly over us? I wonder if there's any crazy phenomena I should look out for. Maybe clear skies in the eyewall? lol jk

Also, is the NAM projecting a broken QLCS or am I reading it wrong?

I really hope we get some good satellite imagery out of this. Can't imagine how it's going to look from space. The convection and super cell birth in the south is going to make one hell of a timelapse.

Secondary low bombing out to 980mb and moving up into Indiana. Tennessee and North Alabama would get smacked horribly based off this run.

This reminds me of the snowstorm the gulf states got this winter. Low pressure arctic cold front pulling moisture straight from the Gulf of Mexico and fueling itself.

Pair that with a Fujiwara Helene-esque slingshot of that secondary low into the north, and I can see why its impact will be so widespread.

In terms of the broad full-picture, and physics at play, this system really is incredible
