I’m in north Shelby County, Alabama. I hope I have absolutely nothing interesting to tell you folks on Sunday.

Just had to shelter due to the warning in Shelby County.

Cell near Jacksonville/Piedmont trying to get its act together.

Pretty big debris ball present on the radar. Really hope residents in Talladega are sheltered.

Several of the Cams were showing a gap in updrafts between roughly Jasper and Columbiana - i saw it form several models, maybe including the hrrr. Seems that is verifying pretty well.

is that a CC drop north of Valley Grande? that looks like a pretty intense embedded supercell there.

Dangerous tornado is about to be right on top of Talladega. Intense, tight couplet.

A tornado warning may be needed south of sylacuaga soon.* (Nvm it looked like it was wrapping up, but promptly stopped.)

One particularly dreadful thing about this event so far is how often cities are being affected by successive tornado-producing storms. A consequence of these north-northeastward moving storms.

If it keeps moving through Talladega itself, it may come close to the speedway also.

Despite only very light convection, we're getting lightning, a good bit of it too, and thunder, pretty loud. Very odd, and I can't recall a similar event in my recent memory while I've lived here.
