New Tornado Watch.

its been a while since we've had a discrete hook like this up here. going to be interesting to see how it evolves but this has potential to catch a lot of people off guard.

I was just thinking about shelters in this area. I'm a bit more familiar with areas east of there (have done the drive from Cincinnati to Huntington along the KY AA highway a loooot), but I would be really worried about folks finding shelter in this area if they're not prepared. Hope all turns out as well as it can.

Wow, the Oklahoma line is almost all severe-warned, with a tornado warning in there, as well.

I got in touch with family friends who live in the Madison area. They saw the tornado. Fortunately, they are okay.

Meanwhile, in northeast Oklahoma, this cell east of Bull Hollow looks like it could be trouble.

the rain just ended in cincy and the sun is already inviting itself back to the party. the evolution of round two out in IL will be telling but the immediate return of blue skies imby is the opposite of what you want to see atp, given what the morning short term solutions suggested at times.
