Severe Weather Threat 09/14/2026 (SE Nebraska to Central Iowa)

But here's the thing: this day was outlined 4 days ago meaning there was better lead time for a reasonable thread. It being made yesterday also barely alerted many to the thread at hand, save for your message regarding it. This isn't a big deal to me, and i don't hold threads to a reasonable standard at all. If they're made, they're made but there was time to make this beforehand and there wouldn't have been a "lack of a thread" even if things went opposite which thankfully didn't work out. That's my two cents.

Bro, you had a day of thread with 14 total replies just 2 months ago. It happens. Especially this year. What are we doing here?

I agree. Someone should've made a thread 4 days ago, but they didn't, so I took matters into my own hands. If it's not a big deal like you say, then quit criticizing me for it. The ceiling was high enough to justify a dedicated thread. End of story.

Fair point and I don't know why I made that thread honestly. I took matters into my own hands like you did since it was a notable enough event that had gained plenty of talk in the days beforebut let's get something right. I am not criticising you, dude. If you choose to take it as criticism, that's understandable because we can't read tone but this isn't a attempt to light some argument at all here. What I meant is that I'm not that bothered about threads and don't give a arm and a leg for them either. It was just a thought I had, so if you have any issues, bring it to DMs. If you feel criticised, we talk it out privately but that's your choice.

Honestly I've also seen plenty of threads for days that were assumed to be nasty only for almost nothing to happen (especially this year LMAO, looking at you 4/27).

Way different in the fact that that setup did have failure modes now that I look back that were overlooked but potential over a large area can never be overlooked so better safe than sorry honestly.
