Yes, when I think of windrowing, what the 1991 Andover tornado did is what it actually should look like.
It’s easy to tell that the debris from these homes weren’t just blown down wind, instead, were physically churned into pieces and subsequently striated around the tornado’s core into a clean streaky pattern.

And that tree damage in the third photo doesn’t look any stronger than low end ef2 at best.

I wasn't trying to imply that the tree damage was anything higher than EF2. I'm no expert and have never claimed to be and usually steer clear from damage discussion for that exact reason. Maybe "gnarly" wasn't the best way to describe it.

Any of the experts want to chime in? To my eye, that looks like some of the most impressive tree damage in a forested area that I’ve seen in a while.

This looks comparable, to me, to the high-end, violent tornadoes that occurred near the Columbus, MS radar on April 13, 2019 that Tony Lyra documented and wrote a paper about. Those tornadoes should have earned at least an EF-4 rating.

We’ve seen EF-3 ratings for similar deforestation before, but I would think this at least gets a look at a violent rating.
