Any of the experts want to chime in? To my eye, that looks like some of the most impressive tree damage in a forested area that I’ve seen in a while.
This looks comparable, to me, to the high-end, violent tornadoes that occurred near the Columbus, MS radar on April 13, 2019 that Tony Lyza documented and wrote a paper about. Those tornadoes should have earned at least an EF-4 rating.
We’ve seen EF-3 ratings for similar deforestation before, but I would think this at least gets a look at a violent rating.
