SPC did say in the outlook where they upgraded to MDT that they expected the LLJ to kick in around 0z, so basically right on cueEither the LLJ is kicking in or we're getting some surface instability. Or both

The storm has been riding along and crossing the boundary for the last hour or so. The storm has turned more right and likely latched onto the boundary. For now at least.Just getting back in here: is the Kankakee cell latching onto the warm front? It looked to me in the loop on radar like it surged a bit SE into a more favorable environment?
