I'm pretty sure the tweet is being interpreted as a glitch in the system, or something like that. Nothing happened, I can't even find reports of there being a glitch either. But there most certainly was not any windspeed there above 50 mph today, so it was definitely just the anemometer freaking out for some strange reason.
