The CPC has a large Slight Risk of heavy precipitation. I figure this will include at least a few instances of severe storms (including MCS) potential across the Mid-South/Deep South region as well as a tropical feature coming up from the Gulf.

Deadly tornado this morning rated EF2, 115 mph. That Georgia tornado yesterday also EF2.

Well, that was a "close call" for the DMV. Lots of HP supercells. A couple of decent sized and plenty of pop up mini supercells. Not enough lapse rates or strong low level winds for this evening's round.
