Severe Weather 2025

In other news, SPC hints at 2 potential MCS (Mesoscale Convective Systems) moving across the Mid-South region on Saturday. One during the morning/afternoon and the other Saturday night into early Sunday morning.

I'm guessing this is what he's referring to. Tried to share the link to the entire post but it'll only post the video, so I'll include a screenshot.

I don't remember who here first posted it yesterday, but that'll be the same 'incident' that Connor Croff referred to from an opposing opinion about the hazard chasers are causing doing things like stopping on a public road.

I know one time Connor was chasing this month there was a man standing in middle of road taking video… smh, if he would’ve looked down for a second that man would’ve been Road kill.

How strong you think it was? Can’t find a rating,

It was a pretty intense drillbit at its peak, so I'd guesstimate it was probably *capable* of at least EF2, maybe low-end EF3 damage at least for a short time. Fortunately it missed Arnett to the west, from my vantage point I started to get concerned it may hit.

About Val Castor, he makes the News 9 OKC storm chaser group look bad. I wish David Payne would show him the door, because I genuinely do believe that Payne and Co provide some of, if not the best storm coverage in the country. Unfortunately Val Castor is just the bad guy in the group who makes them look bad and unfortunately there's no one (including David Payne) that will give him an ego check.

It's actually a shame, because like I said, I do believe that News 9 OKC provides the best storm coverage, but unfortunately there's always that one guy who will make your group look bad, and Val Castor is that guy.

Yeah, Connor Craff is not wrong, and while Val Castor is a douche, I don't believe he did anything wrong in that clip, because he did slow down for the groups out there. I honestly believe that whole incident is being blown out of proportion (Val of course is not helping himself).

Chaser groups have also got to quit stopping in the middle of the road and stop standing so close, because someone out there is gonna get hurt and killed by someone blowing by at 60 MPH. This is the same issue that happened in Iowa last month while I was chasing out there, and unfortunately its happened so many times afterwards. It's ridiculous.

Watching Saturday. That’s impressive instability and helicity.

im more shock that no one here has talk about this stupid chaser that got hit by the side of the tornado and getting his window explode while he was facing this window 0.2 seconds before it broke, shock that all the glass missed his face, there was also large debris flying all around him at the same time, and then later he once again keeps driving forward at a second tornado and almost once again gets hit but luckily it lifts the same time.

If you think that's bad, check out his chase of the Minden tornado last year. It's a miracle he wasn't killed.
