I can just smell the incoming rating controversy lol.

There won’t be any. It hasn’t hit anything, it’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere. I can tell you though without a doubt this is an extremely violent tornado.

How do they even rate something like this that hits nothing but is obviously a monster?

They will rate it based upon the damage it did produce, which thankfully does not appear to be plentiful at this point. This is not uncommon for the Plains, though.

According to Max, there actually have been some damage reports.

I did find a farm that was essentially directly under the couplet at one point. This was when it had 170+ GTG so possibly intense damage occurred. Maybe it missed by a hair though, but it didn't look like it.

That’s what I heard as well.

I know it won't receive the rating it actually deserves but I couldn't imagine based on some things I have heard it getting a rating less than EF3. Of course we know it is much stronger than that.
